About

A sign of a good education is to speak of the highest subjects in the simplest words.
Ralph Waldo Emerson

We are a team of energy engineers professionally involved in the development and research in the field of relay protection and automation. With the help of the FaultAn project we aim to present the theory of relay protection in a form that will be understandable to all those who encounter it in their lives. Our motto: if you want to know your subject well, teach it.

Our team:

Yuri Romanov – Ph.D., associate professor of the Department of Theoretical Foundations of Electrical Engineering and Relay Protection and Automation of Chuvash State University (ChSU). In 2009, he defended a PhD at the ChSU on the topic “Method of information analysis of processes in electrical systems as applied to the protection of generators and power lines”, specialty 05.14.02 – “Power plants and electric power systems”. Author of over 90 publications and patents. Works in the field of relay protection and automation since 2001. Field of interest: relay protection of station equipment, digital signal processing, transients, electrical machines.
